Jorge Masvidal has drawn attention to how understated yet effective Uros Medic's striking skills are following his incredible win at UFC Belgrade.

Uros Medic's spectacular technical knockout victory in his home country, Serbia, has earned him considerable laudation from the vast majority of MMA fans and experts.

The inaugural UFC BMF champion, Jorge Masvidal, has now added his name to the list of people impressed by Medic. "Gamebred" showered the Serbian fighter with praise, particularly suggesting that his scary striking has an amazing effortlessness to it.

Inaugural BMF titlist Jorge Masvidal believes Uros Medic has one of the best left-hand punches today, praises "The Doctor" after win in Serbia

Uros Medic made history, alongside America's Daniel Rodriguez, headlining the UFC's first-ever event to be held in the nation of Serbia. Medic entered the octagon to thunderous cheers from his compatriots and others in attendance at the packed Belgrade Arena in the city of Belgrade this past Saturday, August 1.

"The Doctor" needed merely 30 seconds to dominantly dispatch his formidable opponent, who's known to be a dangerous striker in his own right. Medic landed a precise left hand in a lightning-fast combination of strikes. The left-right-left punch combo was followed by a kick to a falling Rodriguez, after which a vicious ground and pound offensive forced the first-round TKO stoppage.

In an edition of the Deep Waters Podcast on UFC on Paramount, former UFC fighters Jorge Masvidal, Dustin Poirier, Chris Weidman, and Din Thomas discussed a myriad of topics. Masvidal, who's also revered for his crafty striking, gave props to Medic for his tremendous showing against Rodriguez.

Masvidal stated, "I'm very high on this guy (Uros Medic)... He doesn't even throw hard. It doesn't look like he just -- you know, like he's putting a lot of emphasis on it. But just look at that when he explodes."

The MMA veteran added, "And he's just a mean guy in there, naturally. He's not going to let off. His skill set is there. He's got good size, good speed. And he's got one of the best lefts right now in the game."

Uros Medic ascends in the rankings, reaffirms intentions to beat a former champion after UFC Belgrade win

Uros Medic's terrifying finish of Daniel Rodriguez -- who would now look to rebuild after his first fight following his harrowing Mexican prison stint -- has earned the Serb a significant boost in the rankings. Medic boasts a professional MMA record of 14-3, with 12 of his 14 victories coming via KO/TKO, and has yet to go the distance in any fight in his career.

The 33-year-old has jumped up four spots in the UFC welterweight division on the official Meta UFC rankings after UFC Belgrade. Medic now stands at the No. 10 position, whereas Rodriguez has been cast out of the welterweight top 15, giving way for Kevin Holland to enter the list at No. 15.

Furthermore, Medic has long expressed his desire to fight and defeat former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards. Now on a four-fight win streak, having stopped each of those four opponents via KO/TKO, the striking savant has renewed his calls for a clash against Edwards.
