Undefeated ONE Heavyweight Kickboxing World Champion Samet Agdeve is not interested in the hype surrounding his rematch with Roman Kryklia.

The 22-year-old Turkish sensation defends his crown against Kryklia in the co-main event of The Inner Circle 19, airing live on live.onefc.com this Friday, June 19.

Agdeve claimed the inaugural ONE Heavyweight Kickboxing World Title in his promotional debut last year, defeating the Ukrainian via unanimous decision to crush his rival’s dream of simultaneously holding three belts.

At 6-foot-3, the all-out attacking Turkish brawler physically imposed his will on one of the most dominant titleholders in ONE Championship history across five rounds, producing a result that stunned the kickboxing world.

Agdeve Rejects the Upset Label Ahead of The Inner Circle 19

The narrative surrounding their first fight heavily centered on the shock of Agdeve defeating one of the promotion's most celebrated champions on his debut. The Turkish slugger has a straightforward rebuttal for anyone who treated the result as an upset.

"Beating Roman was not a surprise. It was the result of years of hard work, sacrifice, and belief in myself. People may have been surprised by the outcome, but I wasn't," Agdeve said.

His 18-0 professional record includes 12 knockout victories, a finishing rate built on the aggressive, all-out attacking style that overwhelmed Kryklia across five rounds in their first meeting last November. At 22 years old, Agdeve has already achieved what most fighters never reach.

Agdeve Is Focused on Himself

The obvious question heading into any rematch is how much the losing fighter has adjusted. Agdeve is not spending any energy trying to answer it. The Turkish champion has taken a deliberate approach to the preparation that keeps the focus squarely on his own performance.

"We'll find out what he has learned when the bell rings. Until then, it's all speculation. My focus is on myself, my preparation, and being ready for whatever he brings into the ring," he explained.

Kryklia, 34, enters the rematch as the reigning ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing and Heavyweight Muay Thai World Champion. The Ukrainian, who owns a 51-8 career record, brings a 6-foot-7 frame and championship experience to the rematch.

Agdeve Not Concerned About Kryklia

Any champion heading into a rematch carries the disadvantage of being a known quantity to the opponent. Agdeve has addressed that reality with the directness of a fighter whose confidence requires no external validation.

“Honestly, I don't care. Whether he has felt my power and pressure before or not doesn't change my mindset. My job is to go into the ring, perform at my best, and defend my title. What he knows or expects is his concern, not mine," he said.

Kryklia had been unstoppable until running into Agdeve, who handed the Ukrainian his first loss in seven years. The Turk’s message heading into June 19 is clear: the preparation is done, the focus is locked, and the heavyweight belt is staying in his hands.
