New Bodycam Footage of Dustin Poirier Shows him Throwing Bizarre Challenge to Police

Former UFC star Dustin Poirier had a pretty eventful summer. As Poirier was arrested by the police a few months back, he attracted unwanted attention following his retirement from the UFC. Now, as things were coming back to normal, the latest bodycam footage revealed a weird challenge thrown at the police by the ‘Diamond’. 

Dustin Poirier Wanted to Fight Officers

In recently released footage, Poirier could be spotted being moved by the police while he had his handcuffs on. However, the former UFC star didn't look to be in a good mood, and he kept forcing his way out. At one point, when one of the officers spoke about his fans, ‘Diamond’ lost his cool and started to curse wildly at the officers. 

As the war of words escalated quickly, Poirier made a weird request. He asked the officers to remove his handcuffs and then challenged the on-duty officers to a hand-to-hand combat. Poirier said, “Y’all free me and we go one-on-one,’ Poirier said. ‘Let’s go one-on-one. Let’s see what happens.’ Unlock me. I will f*** you up.”

Thankfully, the officers were able to curb the outburst, and Poirier is out of trouble at the moment. Meanwhile, in a separate interview last month, ‘Diamond’ opened up about the hardest hitter he has faced.

Poirier praising Conor McGregor is not something that the UFC fans have seen often. The duo has bad blood, with things getting personal when ‘The Notorious’ took an ugly jab at Poirier’s wife. However, just like a true sportsman, Poirier recently hailed McGregor for his striking ability. 

In an interview with Valuetaiment, Poirier was asked who hit him the hardest. ‘Diamond’ said, “Conor McGregor, no doubt about it. As the biggest puncher I’ve fought? Yeah. He’s a special individual, for sure. Fought him in 2014; lost, and that was when his trajectory was just… sky was the limit."

Now, with Poirier making a lot of headlines lately, fans are eager to see what’s next.
