UFC Vegas 114 answered several questions surrounding the promotion’s featherweight division, the biggest one being that young upstart Kevin Vallejos is, in fact, the real deal after starching divisional hard-puncher Josh Emmett.

Overwhelming the older fighter with volume, “El Chino” managed to rock Emmett with a hard right hook that sent him crashing to the canvas before ending the bout with ground-and-pound. The contest also set a new record for the organization, being the fight with the largest age differential between two main event athletes in UFC history at 16 years, 9 months, and 4 days.

In the co-main event, TUF alum Gillian Robertson took home a hard-fought unanimous decision victory over one-time title challenger Amanda Lemos. Now firmly nestled in the top five at strawweight, the championship is now just in reach for the rising Canadian.

Charles Johnson

Johnson’s win over da Silva was his eighth as a professional by decision, making it the first time he had won a scrap in similar fashion since his triumph over Zhalgas Zhumagulov in 2022. His UFC record now stands at 8-6

Bruno Silva

Silva’s loss to Johnson dropped him back into the losers circle after previously beating Park Hyun-sung back in October. It also was just his fourth defeat via the judges’ scorecards in his 26-fight professional tenure.

He is now 2-3 in his last five tilts.

His appearance at UFC Vegas 114 was the first time he competed on a Vegas-centered card since 2022.

UFC Vegas 114: Marwan Rahiki def. Harry Hardwick
