Yves Jabouin to face Eddie Wineland at UFC on FOX 10

UFC on FOX 10 just got some Canadian content, with word that Yves Jabouin will take on Eddie Wineland on the card’s prelims.

UFC Officials confirmed the bout yesterday.

Yves “Tiger” Jabouin (19-8) is part of the youth movement currently trying to make a name for itself at Tristar Gym. The lanky bantamweight is currently 2-1 in the UFC, with decision wins over Jeff Houghland and Dustin Pague sandwiching a KO loss to Brad Pickett. The Quebecois-based striker will now be looking to make it two in a row. Will he get there with a win over the durable Wineland?

Eddie Wineland (20-9-1) was last seen challenging Renan Barao for the UFC interim bantamweight title. While the bout certainly did not go his way, Wineland put in a game effort, taking the first round. Prior to that, the Duneland Vale Tudo product had scored wins over Scott Jorgenson and Brad Pickett. Now, Wineland is looking to rebound and get back to seeing his hand raised. Will it happen with a victory over “Tiger?”

UFC on FOX 10 goes down Jan. 25th, 2014 from Chicago, IL’s United Center. The main event is a lightweight contenders bout, pitting former champion Benson Henderson against resurgent Californian Josh Thomson. Stay tuned to MMASucka for more on this and other events.
