ONE Championship has announced two additions to ONE Fight Night 34, scheduled for Friday, August 1, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The U.S. primetime event on Prime Video is set to be a fantastic night under the bright lights. Garry Tonon and Shamil Gasanov meet in a key featherweight rematch and Ben Tynan square off against Kirill Grishenko in a heavyweight slugfest in ONE Fight Night 34.
Garry Tonon and Shamil Gasanov Lock Horns Again in ONE Fight Night 34
The Tonon-Gasanov rematch at ONE Fight Night 34 carries significant title implications following their first encounter at ONE Fight Night 12 in the summer of 2023. In that bout, Tonon weathered an early storm from the Russian grappler before securing a kneebar in the second round. The defeat was Gasanov’s first professional defeat. Since then, both fighters have scored victories to make them top contenders in the featherweight division.
Tonon has continued his submission ways, defeating former two-division ONE World Champion Martin Nguyen in January 2024. Meanwhile, Gasanov bounced back from his lone loss with an incredible four-fight winning streak against elite competition. The winner of this rematch could potentially earn the next shot at Tang Kai and the ONE Featherweight MMA World Title.

Heavyweights Brawl in Key Aug. 1 Clash in ONE Fight Night 34
The heavyweight clash between Tynan and Grishenko promises to shake the ring between two rising contenders. Tynan brings an unblemished professional with a 100 percent finishing rate into Lumpinee Stadium and ONE Fight Night 34. “Vanilla Thunder’s” combination of wrestling and charisma has made him one of the most fun and intriguing heavyweight talents.
Grishenko has a credible wrestling background but has added striking power to his arsenal as of late. Despite falling short against Anatoly Malykhin for the ONE Interim Heavyweight MMA World Title in 2022, the Belarusian has rebounded with consecutive victories. In his most recent performance, Grishenko stopped Mauro Cerilli via leg kicks, showcasing his evolved striking arsenal.
The victors of both matchups will be positioned well within their respective divisions. The action goes down on Friday, August 1, on Prime Video. The event broadcasts for free to all Amazon Prime subscribers in the U.S. and Canada at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
