PFL Africa 2: Nigeria Staff Picks: Featherweights Come to Blows
PFL Africa 2 happens Saturday. Who did our guys pick to win this weekend?
At the Eko Convention Center in Lagos, PFL Africa 2: Nigeria will set the table for a monumental show featuring a slew of stalwart African talent. Headlining the event, Wasi Adeshina comes to blows with Ignacio Campos. In the co-main event, hometown hero Patrick Ocheme tests himself against Ayinda Octave.
PFL Africa 2: Nigeria Main Event
Riding a phenomenal six-bout win streak, Adeshina is easily one of Nigeria’s best homegrown prospects today. Taking home the PFL Africa featherweight title last year, “The Nigerian Jaguar” is hoping for a repeat performance in 2026, beginning with a resounding victory over his Spanish adversary.
Jumping back into the win column by taking down Mathys Duragrin at PFL Madrid back in March, Campos travels to “The Mother Continent” in search of his biggest triumph to date. Although he will surely have his hands full, “Nacho” has never shied away from competing when opportunity calls.
PFL Africa 2: Nigeria Co-Main Event
Garnering a perfect 2-0 record in the promotion after making his debut in the smart cage last year, Ocheme has demonstrated his ability as a growing talent. Backed by a six-fight winning streak, “Star Boi” is seeking to announce himself as a contender in his native Nigeria this Saturday.
For the briefest of moments, Octave had all the makings of a divisional standout, but a first round stoppage defeat to Shido Boris Esperança last October dashed both his title aspirations and his undefeated record. Determined to bounce back in style, “The Bantu Warrior” will stop at nothing to get back on track as a proven knockout artist.
More Bouts On the PFL Africa 2: Nigeria Main Card
Also on the main card, Karim Henniène battles Thimna Mhlauli. Also, Tshilomba Mikixi mixes it up with Cornel Thompson. Finally, Yahaya Yahuza faces Jordan Fongno.
