With UFC 328 set to go down this weekend, we provided you with our betting tips and picks ahead of an exciting night in New Jersey.

UFC 328 goes down this weekend from Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center and the main event is a bitter grudge match that has been boiling under the surface for years. Middleweight champion, Khamzat Chimaev makes the first defence of his 185lbs title against former champion and former training partner Sean Strickland.

The co-main sees the flyweight title on the line as Joshua Van also looks to make the first defence of his title as he meets Tatsuro Taira in an exciting clash that’s guaranteed to be fireworks.

We take a look at some UFC 328 betting tips, who to back and by what method!

UFC 328 Betting Tips

Chimaev vs Strickland Under 3.5 Rounds (-137)

Expect violence and expect an exciting UFC 328 fight week. Khamzat Chimaev is one of the biggest loose cannons in UFC history, going up against one of the most outspoken fighters in UFC history in Strickland.

We know what Chimaev wants to do. ‘Smesh’ via ground and pound. What’s so interesting about his style is that no one has been able to stop his game. At 15-0, 15 have tried and 15 have failed. Against Dricus du Plessis in his last bout, he recorded 12 takedowns out of 17 attempts. Once he got the South African down, he kept him there. 21:40 control time saw him dominate the former champion.

Strickland wants to keep the fight standing, pump his jab out and once he gets an opponent hurt, he pounces. He’s more than willing to keep the fight at distance and outpoint an opponent over 25 minutes.

These two don’t like each other and will both be going out there to finish the man standing across from him. Expect all action, until a finish in under 3.5 rounds.

Tatsuro Taira to Win Via Submission (+220)

Joshua Van is a fantastic striker and therefore, the easiest method to victory for Tatsuro Taira is to try and take the champion down and work a submission. He’s notched an impressive eight career victories by submission and used his impressive ground game last time out to dominate former champion, Brandon Moreno.

It won’t be easy, especially with Van’s 81% takedown defence, however, if Taira can get it to the floor, he’ll be a handful for the champion.

Yaroslav Amosov to Win Via Decision (+150)

Although the fight itself is a fantastic one and is set to be extremely competitive, it doesn’t make a lot of sense from a rankings perspective. Yaroslav Amosov and Joel Alvarez are two of the hottest prospects in the welterweight division and one of them must lose at UFC 328.

We’re predicting that the man who will have his hand raised is the Ukrainian former Bellator champion, Amosov.

He was dominant in his first UFC outing, submitting Neil Magny in round one of their affair. Alavarez has never been submitted and only been finished once since 2015. Expect this one to go the distance and expect Amosov to get his hand raised.
