UFC Sacramento happens Saturday. Our staff picks are in, so who did our writers choose to win?

UFC Sacramento takes place this weekend at the Golden 1 Center, with premier middleweight contenders Anthony Hernandez and Gregory Rodrigues squaring off in the main event. Before that, however, heavyweights will brawl, as divisional luminary Serghei Spivac faces Brazilian steamroller Vitor Petrino.

UFC Sacramento Main Event

A professional competitor since 2014, Hernandez has soared into the 185-lb utmost echelon with his nearly endless cardio and immaculate submission skills. With recent wins over the likes of Michel Pereira, Brendan Allen, and Roman Dolidze, “Fluffy” is on a mission to get back on track towards the belt after losing his previous match to the weight class's current king Sean Strickland.

Following a surprising upset loss to Jared Cannonier in early 2025, Rodrigues has racked up an amazing three bout win streak. Possessing eight world titles in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, “Robocop” could prove to be a worthy challenge for the grappling-focused Hernandez.

UFC Sacramento Co-Main Event

A solid contender in the weight category, Spivac has built a name for himself as a bane of established athletes, with him having trounced world-class fighters such as Derrick Lewis, Marcin Tybura, and Ante Delija. Tasked with stemming the rise of the streaking Petrino.

After relocating to the heavyweight class in the wake of two consecutive losses at 205-lb, Petrino has swiftly announced his stake for being among the best names in the division. Amassing three victories in a row, the 28-year old is firmly set in a warpath, a warpath that has brought to the cusp of the 265-lb rankings.

More Bouts On the UFC Sacramento Main Card

Rounding out the main card, Reinier de Ridder tangos with Roman Dolidze. Then, MarQuel Mederos scraps with Mason Jones. Also, Carli Judice locks horns with Jeisla Chaves. Anthony Wint trades blows with Terrance Chatman.
