Fan favourite, Paddy Pimblett, is set to return for an all action bout against finishing machine, Benoit Saint Denis.

Paddy Pimblett is set to return to action against fellow fan favourite, Benoit Saint Denis, as per French media outlet La Sueur. Scheduled for international fight week on July 11th, Pimblett is looking to bounce back from his first UFC loss last time out against Justin Gaethje.

Benoit Saint Denis looks to continue his rich vein of form and go five straight in Las Vegas.

Lightweight Banger on Deck for July 11th

Although not confirmed by the UFC yet, many people believe that this is the fight that will be next for each man. Despite having just competed for the interim lightweight title, Paddy Pimblett is the lower-ranked guy at #6, whereas the Frenchman, Saint Denis, is at #5.

 

 

Pimblett's last outing came at UFC 324, where he left the cage with a unanimous decision loss at the hands of Gaethje, falling to 23-4. Prior to that, he'd impressed, scoring big finishes over King Green and Michael Chandler.

Saint Denis, however, is in amazing form. After suffering a loss to Dustin Poirier and a shock defeat to Renato Moicano, the God of War has come back with a vengeance. He's scored four straight finishes, including a dominant submission victory over Mauricio Ruffy, a 16 second knockout over Beneil Dariush and a mauling victory over Dan Hooker.

If Saint Denis adds Pimblett to his record, he could realise a title shot towards the end of the year.

A headliner of UFC 329 is yet to be officially announced; rumours have constantly circulated that it will mark the return of Conor McGregor.
