UFC Vegas 121 with Awesome Main Card Saturday!

UFC Vegas 121 fight week rolls on. This Saturday, the fall schedule of events for the UFC begins at the promotion's homebase of Enterprise, NV. 

Meta Apex serves as the setting for this weekend's activities inside the fabled Octagon. Live coverage of UFC Vegas 121 begins at 5 pm ET/ 2 pm PT on Saturday afternoon with the prelims. Inside the United States of America, the card can be seen via Paramount Plus.

Main card action, including the live finale of this year's season of The Ultimate Fighter television series, caps the night at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT. Although the 12-fight card is intact for Saturday night, there's been a slight change to one of the bouts.

The planned middleweight contest that was to have matched Mickey Gall against Sedriques Dumas has been postponed after Gall encountered medical issues, as was confirmed by the UFC. Dumas will instead face off with Luis Hernandez in a light heavyweight fight on the main card.

UFC Vegas 121 Main Event: No. 12 Contender Raul Rosas Jr. vs. No. 13 Contender Raoni Barcelos: Rosas Aiming for Sixth Straight Win

At the top of the bill on Saturday night, the bantamweights go to battle for a contest matching No. 12 contender Raul Rosas Jr. (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) with No. 13 contender Raoni Barcelos (22-5 MMA, 11-4 UFC.) This main event is an advertised maximum of five rounds at five minutes per round to close the show.

Raul Rosas Jr. enters UFC Vegas 121 on Saturday night having posted a 5-0 record in his last five bouts dating back to September of 2023. This is his second walk to the Octagon in 2026.

Back on the night of March 7, he scored a unanimous decision victory over Rob Font (22-10 MMA, 12-9 UFC) after 15 minutes of action on the main card.

While he hasn't been seen in the cage under MMA rules in more than six months, he's kept himself busy in the interim, scoring a rear-naked choke of Khasan Magomedsharipov during ACBJJ 21 this past July.  His opponent across the way, however, has proven himself to be a tough opponent.

Raoni Barcelos With Five-Fight Winning Streak of His Own

Raoni Barcelos is also 5-0 in his last five fights. Unlike Rosas, however, Barcelos hasn't had grappling matches in the time between fights in the UFC. 

On the night of April 25 inside Meta Apex, he bested Montel Jackson (15-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC) by split decision at Meta Apex. This was Jackson's second loss in succession. With both fighters on hot streaks coming into this main event, it'll be moving day on Saturday night in the bantamweight ranks.

UFC Vegas 121 Co-Main Event: No. 4 Contender Norma Dumont vs. No. 5 Contender Allin Perez: Dumont Hungry for Crucial Win

Immediately beforehand, it's moving day at women's bantamweight with an important battle between No. 4 contender  Norma Dumont (13-3 MMA, 9-3 UFC) and No. 5 contender Allin Perez (13-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC.) This is a three-round affair at five minutes per round.

Dumont makes the walk this weekend sporting a record of 4-1 in her last five fights. Back on April 25, she saw her six-fight winning streak snapped (unanimous decision) at the hands of Joselyne Edwards. She's at No. 4 in the rankings at 135 lbs, so a win here would put her as little as one victory away from a title shot in the near future.

Her opponent may have other ideas, however.

Allin Perez Comes in on Hot Streak

Across the way, Allin Perez has a 5-0 record in her last five trips to the cage. All told, she's won six bouts in a row.  Earlier this year, she trekked to Mexico City for a bout versus Macy Chiasson (10-6 MMA, 8-6 UFC.)

After three rounds of action, Perez secured the unnimous decision. When a fighter enters a contest on a tear, as Allin Perez is right now, she can be a tough customer at the shop.

One word of advice: Get your popcorn ready before this fight. You may not have time to pop it once the command to fight is given. 

UFC Vegas 121: Luis Hernandez vs. Sedriques Dumas: Contender Series Grad Makes Short-Notice UFC Debut

Also on the UFC Vegas 121 undercard is a short-notice bout at light heavyweight matching Luis Hernandez (8-0 MMA, UFC promotional debut) against Sedriques Dumas (10-5, 1 NC MMA, 3-5, 1 NC UFC.) Hernandez has yet to lose in his MMA career and will be making his debut with the company just 11 days after he scored a second-round submission by way of rear-naked choke vs. Hugo Guillon (7-2 MMA) on the Sept. 15 broadcast of Contender Series.

A week ago at this time, Hernandez was still basking in the glory of winning his UFC deal by virtue of appearing on the show. We've seen people make a quick turnaround after securing a contract on Contender Series this year already, but will Hernandez by the latest do do so?

Sedriques Dumas with Late Change in Opponent and Weight Class for UFC Vegas 121

In the other corner, Sedriques Dumas enters UFC Vegas 121 on Saturday night with a mark of 1-3 with one no-contest in the past five fights. He's winless in four bouts coming into the weekend.

During UFC Vegas 116 on April 25, he was on the losing end of a first-round submission by D'arce choke against Jackson McVey (8-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC.) Heading into fight week, Dumas and his camp were in the final stages of preparation for what they thought was going to be a middleweight contest against Mickey Gall. 

Instead, he'll be fighting at 205 versus a debuting combatant. How will he fare with a late change?
