UFC Baku: How To Watch and Full Fight Card

The biggest stage in all of combat sports is heading to Baku, as the UFC aims to put on a blockbuster event in Azerbaijan in UFC Baku. Taking the top spot on the card, former light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill takes on top contender Khalil Rountree Jr. Before that, though, hometown hero Rafael Fiziev will test himself against Chilean up-and-comer Ignacio Bahamondes in the UFC Baku co-main event.

Returning from an unfortunate Achilles injury last year, Hill was determined to get his belt back after being forced to vacate it due to needing extensive time off to heal. Making his comeback at UFC 300, the Michigan resident sadly lost his shot at regaining the throne after suffering a first-round knockout to Alex Pereira. He then lost a competitive back-and-forth contest to Jiří Procházka, falling to the Czech by strikes in the third round. Still undeterred, “Sweet Dreams” now crosses paths with another hard-hitting 205-lb juggernaut this weekend in UFC Baku.

Coming off of a Fight of the Night earning clash with then light heavyweight king Pereira at UFC 307, Rountree Jr. is seeking to get back into title contention after garnering a five-bout win streak to earn his first crack at UFC gold. Going toe-to-toe with another past champion, “The War Horse” could just be one highlight reel finish away from securing his second opportunity to challenge for the biggest prize in all of mixed martial arts.

UFC Baku Co-Main Event

Winless since 2022, Fiziev finds himself in unfamiliar territory as he rides an unfortunate three-fight skid, the largest of his entire professional career. Although he did entertain the idea of a move to featherweight, “Ataman” has decided to remain at 155-lb, where he now goes to war with a surging South American phenom in front of his fellow Azerbaijani.

Following up on an incredible 2024, Bahamondes started what is shaping up to be a highly successful 2025 with a first round submission over Jalin Turner last in March. Making his way back to the Octagon after only three months, “La Jaula” is eager to claim a statement-making performance over another ranked lightweight standout.
