UFC Des Moines Weigh-In Results: Iowa Return to Go Off Without Hitch

UFC Des Moines is almost here. Saturday night, the UFC returns to Iowa for the first time since before the turn of the century for the first Fight Night card in the month of May. Wells Fargo Arena will get an evening off from the world of indoor football this weekend as the famed Octagon serves as the focus of the venue’s latest event.

UFC Des Moines will mark the first UFC show in the state known for the Cy-Hawk rivalry in college athletics since June 9, 2000 and UFC 26. Action begins with the prelims at 7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT on ESPN+ before moving onto the main card at 10 pm ET/ 7 pm PT on ESPN+ and ESPN2. 12 fights are on the schedule for tomorrow night.

A Routine Friday Morning at the Scales Ahead of UFC Des Moines

Friday morning, the official weigh-in window for the show took place. Fortunately, everything went according to plan today in Iowa.

The main event of UFC Des Moines will proceed as scheduled after both Cory Sandhagen and Deiveson Figuereido each tipped the scales within the 136-lb nontitle maximum for bantamweights at 135 lbs even and 135 1/2 lbs, respectively.

UFC Des Moines Co-Main Event Also Cleared for Takeoff

The middleweight co-headlining attraction for UFC Des Moines is also confirmed for tomorrow night after this morning’s official weigh-in window. Reinier de Ridder and Bo Nickal each weighed-in at 185 1/2 lbs.
