It’s been a little under two years since we’ve seen the sport’s biggest star, Conor McGregor in action in any form of combat sports. We know that he’s taken time away from MMA for two years before, in between the Eddie Alvarez and Khabib Nurmagomedov fights, however, he was active in boxing, fighting Floyd Mayweather.

What encapsulates fans with McGregor, especially on his rise to super-stardom was his ability to predict the outcome of his fights, down to the method and round.

You can call me Mystic Mac, because I predict these things”. The famous words belted out by McGregor after his first-round knockout over Dustin Poirier at UFC 178, which he correctly predicted.

Well, it appears Mystic Mac may be back. Going on one of his regular Twitter rants, McGregor didn’t give us a round, however, disagreed with what his next opponent, Michael Chandler predicted. Speaking to ESPN, Chandler claimed that he would finish the Irishman in the second round by clean KO.

Replying to that comment, The Notorious simply predicted, “You’re getting crushed, pal”.

McGregor vs. Chandler

As of yet, there hasn’t been an official date set for the clash between McGregor and Chandler. We know that they will face off, however. The two men coached against each other on this year’s Ultimate Fighter, which airs on May 30th.

The issue surrounding the booking of the fight is that the former two-weight world champion has to re-enter the USADA testing pool and test clean for at least six months prior to competition.

We know that he was granted an exception due to rehabbing the leg injury that he suffered in his last fight, however, as of yet, we know he is yet to be tested this year, as per the USADA website, so it will be at least six month until we see him return.
