Bellator 124 has come and gone from the Compuware Arena in Plymouth Township, Mich.

In the main event fans were treated to a back and forth battle for the light heavyweight championship, as Emanuel Newton took on Joey Beltran. It took the champ two and a half rounds to finally finish Beltran, as Newton knocked him out with a spinning back fist in the third round.

Liam McGeary won the Summer Series light heavyweight tournament with an inverted triangle finish. The submission victory against Kelly Anundson earned McGeary a shot at Newton’s 205-pound title.
