"Conor Owes Me": Max Holloway Upset Over Scratched Sunglasses

Max Holloway is cross with Conor McGregor for destroying his Meta glasses during their UFC 329 face-off, and he wants the Irishman to get him a replacement.
Conor McGregor and Max Holloway delivered absolute fireworks during the build-up to UFC 329, but one specific pre-fight moment left the former featherweight champion holding a genuine grudge, not over trash talk, but over damaged personal property.
During their intense pre-fight press conference face-off in Las Vegas, McGregor grabbed the Meta sunglasses right off Holloway's face and tossed them across the stage. The Hawaiian fan favorite wasn't thrilled about the condition of his shades after the incident.
Property Damage and Settling the Score
Max Holloway opened up about the fiery exchange, making it clear that while he kept his composure on stage, losing his favorite pair of glasses still stung.
“I really like those glasses I was bummed man, I got a scraped on one of the lenses now," Holloway revealed. "Conor owes me, owes me for that…”
The 32-year-old holds a professional MMA record of 27-8 with 12 victories coming via knockout or technical knockout. Known as one of the most prolific strikers in Octagon history, Holloway holds UFC records for total strikes landed (3,622) and significant strikes landed (3,366), constantly putting on volume-heavy masterclasses inside the cage.
Their UFC 329 showdown marked a long-awaited rematch 13 years in the making. The pair first crossed paths back in August 2013 early in their respective Octagon runs, where McGregor secured a unanimous decision victory. Years later, both men had captured undisputed UFC gold and cemented their legacies as top-tier Hall of Fame talent.
Although Holloway ultimately exacted his revenge in the Octagon with a win over "The Notorious," he still expects his longtime rival to cough up the cash to replace his ruined eyewear. Given the massive paydays both combatants pulled in for the blockbuster event, a brand-new pair of sunglasses should be a drop in the bucket for the Irish superstar.
