Jon Anik has given fight fans an interesting insight into how he goes about his voiceover work for the world's premier MMA organization, the UFC.

Jon Anik has established himself as one of the most recognized voices at the UFC announcers' desk over the years. The Boston-born former ESPN anchor has served as a UFC commentator for well over a decade.

Since veteran UFC play-by-play commentator Mike Goldberg's UFC exit back in 2017, Anik went on to become the UFC's lead play-by-play commentator at some of the biggest events that the consensus world's premier MMA organization has held.

The 48-year-old has now shed light on some rather intriguing behind-the-scenes work that he does for the UFC, professional voiceover (VO) work, to be specific. Anik appeared to be quite animated while recording a voiceover for a fight that's set to transpire at the star-studded UFC 329 event.

Jon Anik lends his voice to promotional material for King Green vs. Terrance McKinney ahead of UFC 329

The UFC recently announced a lightweight clash of electrifying striking maestros, pitting veteran 155-pound combatant King Green (formerly known as Bobby Green) against young star Terrance McKinney.

The lightweight clash between Green and McKinney is expected to serve as the opening fight of the main card portion of UFC 329, a much-awaited fight card that'll be headlined by the rematch between combat sports megastar Conor McGregor and Max Holloway

In a recent Instagram post, Jon Anik featured a video of himself recording a voiceover for promotional material related to Green vs. McKinney for UFC 329.

Anik stated, "Alright, here's a combo for Green and McKinney, coming down in three, two..." Anik then proceeded to lend his voice to narrate promotional content for the upcoming King Green vs. Terrance McKinney matchup.

He said, "In a division as deep and talented as any, standing out at lightweight is especially challenging. But tonight, a pair of competitors who have had no problem getting noticed will kick off the main card in a matchup that seems destined to deliver."

The veteran commentator further hailed both fighters, whilst concisely revisiting their recent performances inside the octagon and hyping up their imminent clash.

Jon Anik is expected to be a part of the commentary team at UFC 329

Jon Anik is known to have called some of the most iconic moments in the sport, including Max Holloway's classic last-second knockout victory against Justin Gaethje in 2024, Gaethje's memorable lightweight-title-winning performance against Ilia Topuria at UFC Freedom 250 last month, and more.

Currently, Anik appears to be on the cusp of calling yet another notable UFC event. He, alongside UFC color commentators Joe Rogan and Daniel "DC" Cormier, are expected to serve as the official commentary trio for the UFC 329 event, which will go down at the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas on Saturday, July 11.
