Jon Jones honors his late brother Arthur Jones on the first anniversary of his death, calling him “King Arthur forever.”

Jon Jones Remembers His Brother Arthur Jones
Arthur Jones passed away on Oct. 3, 2025, at the age of 39. A year after his demise, Jon took to Instagram, posting a photograph of Arthur covered in confetti while celebrating the Ravens' 2013 Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers.
"Congratulations on your first year in perfect peace. King Arthur forever. @artj97,” Jones captioned the post.
The picture was highly significant to Arthur given his football career. He played eight seasons in the NFL, playing for the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, and Washington. However, his greatest achievement came in Baltimore when he assisted the Ravens in winning the Super Bowl XLVII.
However, Arthur was more than just a successful NFL player to Jon. His older brother played a very important part in the family alongside Jon and former NFL star Chandler Jones.
Jon's latest tribute comes nearly a year after he posted a longer message following Arthur's passing, explaining just how much his brother meant to him and his family.
"His Legacy Inspires Me Every Day"
In the earlier tribute, Jon spoke at length about Arthur's personality away from football and the significant impact he had on those around him.
“Arthur was not just a Super Bowl champion but a father, spouse, son, brother, everyone’s best friend, a gentle giant whose kindness and generosity knew no bounds,” Jones wrote. “He had a love for the outdoors, whether it was duck hunting, fishing, or riding four-wheelers with his family, he brought pure joy, warmth and laughter to every moment spent around him. Arthur’s generosity extended far beyond his friends and family. He was always involved in local charities and gave back to the students and the community with an open heart," the post said.
He went on to explain how Arthur's example continued to influence his family.
“His legacy inspires me every day. Our dad Arthur Jones Jr, me, Chandler, Arthur Jones IV, and the rest of the family are committed to moving forward striving to be the best versions of ourselves, just as he would have wanted.”
He ended his tribute with a few simple words that echo the message he shared on Arthur's first anniversary since his passing.
“King Arthur will truly be missed, he’s gone way too soon, but his spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Rest easy, big bro, you deserve it, you did amazing.”
