Josh Hokit Fires Back at Alex Pereira With Savage Warning About Sergei Pavlovich

Josh Hokit continues his war of words with Alex Pereira after the Brazilian mocked Hokit’s title fight.
The former American football player is set to face Cyril Gane for the heavyweight title. The fight will headline UFC 334 inside Madison Square Garden on 14 November.
However, the former UFC middleweight and light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira, doubts Hokit's spot in the main event. Hokit didn’t take much time to respond.
Josh Hokit Responds to Alex Pereira
In a social media post, Alex Pereira argued that the UFC 334 co-main event between Amanda Nunes and Kayla Harrison for the women’s bantamweight title should have headlined the card.
“Why the women’s fight is not the main event?” asked Pereira. “Okay, let me help promote this cause no one is paying attention to it.”
However, Josh Hokit didn’t take long to respond. “‘My name Dum Dum. You bring me Gum Gum?’ Lol I didn’t realize that losing your aura affected your IQ,” Hokit wrote on X. “You aren’t even BMF worthy. They prefer a little crotch sniffer over an Auraless Sorceress. Hopefully Sergei doesn’t end you like he did your Brazilian punching bag teammate,” he added.
Hokit and Pereira were in talks for a fight that never materialized. Now, both contenders are on separate paths toward UFC gold.
Pereira and Hokit’s Next Fight
Both heavyweight contenders are set for pivotal fights in the division. Hokit will face Ciryl Gane for the title after Tom Aspinall vacated it.
Meanwhile, Alex Pereira, who lost to Gane in their interim title fight, will look to return to the win column when he faces Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 335 in December.
If Pereira wins, there is a strong possibility that he could face the winner of Gane vs. Hokit. And if Hokit pulls off an upset at UFC 334, a fight between Pereira and Hokit could finally materialize.
