It happened after Rosas Jr. landed a takedown, and Barcelos suddenly went limp. Doctors ran in fast, and the ref didn't wait around to call the fight off. Subsequently, Barcelos was carried out of the octagon on a stretcher after the scary finish during UFC Fight Night.

Meanwhile, his coach gave an update on how he's doing, saying Raoni is doing fine and everything's okay, so people can relax. “Hey guys, Raoni is fine, everything is alright, everyone can stay calm, he just went to do the tomography now, but everything is fine, we are here waiting for him, everyone can stay calm, thanks,” Ramos said.

The UFC has also provided an update saying, “Following his fight tonight, Raoni Barcelos was immediately transported to a Level 1 trauma center for evaluation. The hospital medical team conducted a CT scan and comprehensive assessment, and he is currently being monitored. Barcelos is stable, alert and responsive, with full movement. He will remain under medical supervision. We will provide updates on his condition as they become available.”

Fortunately, everything seems to be good now. Barcelos was on a five-fight winning streak, but it was broken by Rosas Jr., who is now on a six-fight winning streak. It was undoubtedly the biggest win of his career, and now his eyes are set on breaking Jon Jones’ record.

The 21-year-old Rosas Jr. talked about his goal, saying he feels like he's on the right path to break Jon Jones’ record. Before the UFC Vegas 121 fight, Rosas Jr. said he's got to stay ready for short-notice fights, be willing to take risks, and make a real statement.

“Yeah, that's the goal and I think right now I'm in a good path. Winning this main event, I think puts me in a very good position to keep chasing that dream. I got to be ready for short notice fights, be willing to take risks and this Saturday make a big statement for sure. Not just a win, but I got to make a statement,” Rosas Jr. said.

For context, the record for youngest champion in UFC history still belongs to Jon Jones, who was 23 years and 243 days old when he won the title back in 2011. Winning this main event, he believes, puts him in a strong spot to keep chasing that dream.
