Raul Rosas Jr.'s brother Jessie Rosas set to make UFC debut at Noche UFC 4
Jessie Rosas will finally make his Octagon debut after his first UFC fight was canceled last month.
Raul Rosas Jr.'s older brother Jessie Rosas is getting another chance to make his UFC debut. Marcel Dorff first reported that the 23-year-old fighter has been added to the Noche UFC 4 card, where he will face undefeated Sean King on Sept. 12 in Glendale, Arizona. Like Rosas, King will also be making his promotional debut at the event.
Jessie Rosas Gets Second UFC Chance
Rosas was originally scheduled to make his Octagon debut against Miles Johns at UFC Vegas 120 on Aug. 8. However, he was removed from the card shortly before the event due to a medical issue. He will now finally get the opportunity to step inside the Octagon for the first time.
The young bantamweight enters the UFC with an 8-1 professional record while riding a three-fight winning streak. He has finished six of his eight wins, with four submissions and two knockouts. His most recent fight came in June, when he submitted Erick Ruano with an arm-triangle choke.
"Tachidito" will face a fellow UFC debutant in King, who is 6-0 as a professional. The 22-year-old was originally expected to compete on Dana White's Contender Series but will instead make his promotional debut against Rosas at 145 pounds.
The matchup will also give Rosas the opportunity to finally join his younger brother on the UFC roster. Rosas Jr. has established himself as one of the promotion's top bantamweight prospects and is currently ranked No. 12 in the division.
For Jessie, however, the focus will be on finally making the UFC debut he was supposed to have one month ago.
