Jean Silva responds to Jose Delgado's trash talk ahead of Noche UFC 4
The Brazilian featherweight reminded his opponent of what happened to Bryce Mitchell and predicted a third-round knockout.
Jean Silva is not bothered by Jose Delgado's pre-fight trash talk ahead of their matchup at Noche UFC 4. In fact, the Brazilian pointed to his fight against Bryce Mitchell as an example of what can happen when an opponent tries to provoke him. Silva recalled Mitchell's comments before their fight and predicted a third-round knockout of Delgado.

During the buildup for Silva's fight against Mitchell in April 2025, the American didn't hold back on the insults toward the Brazilian. In the end, however, Silva got the last laugh when he defeated Mitchell by submission. Now, the Brazilian finds himself in a similar situation ahead of his fight against Delgado. Recently, his opponent called Silva a coward and vowed to "put him down like a dog."
In any case, the Brazilian does not seem bothered by his opponent's taunts. Speaking to Ag Fight, Silva pointed out that Delgado could face a similar outcome if he cannot back up his words inside the Octagon.
"The last one who talked trash ended up on the ground unconscious, and I even barked in his face," Silva said. "That was Bryce Mitchell. It was the same story. He said, 'I'm used to killing dogs that invade my property.'"
Jean Silva Predicts Third-Round Knockout
Coming off a unanimous decision win against Arnold Allen, Silva is confident he will pick up another victory at Noche UFC 4. The Brazilian claimed he has more MMA experience than his opponent and predicted that he will knock out Delgado in the third round.
"I don't know if Delgado is playing the right role here," Silva said. "I'm 29 and he's 28, but I have more experience than him in this business. Well, if he comes to fight, at least he'll be able to say he talked a good game. But if he doesn't, I think things will go badly for him. I'm going to knock Delgado out in the third round."
Silva was previously scheduled to face Yair Rodriguez, but the Mexican fighter pulled out of the matchup due to a groin injury. Delgado stepped in as a replacement, giving Silva a new opponent for the Noche UFC 4 main event. Now, the Brazilian will look to back up his prediction and continue his push toward the top of the featherweight division.
