Brandon Moreno Faces Joseph Morales at Noche UFC 4

Brandon Moreno has his next challenge. The former flyweight champion will be facing The Ultimate Fighter 33 winner Joseph Morales at Noche UFC 4, scheduled to take place in Glendale on Sept. 12. The matchup was first reported by HEAVY and later confirmed by MMA Fighting's Mike Heck through sources with knowledge of the booking. "The Assassin Baby" will look to bounce back after losing his last two fights.

Brandon Moreno Hoping to Return to Win Column

Moreno is going through a tough period in his career. Since losing the UFC flyweight title to Alexandre Pantoja in July 2023, the Mexican fighter has struggled to regain his best form, compiling a 2-4 record during that stretch.  Currently sitting at No. 9 in the division's rankings, the former champion has lost his last two bouts. Now, The Assassin Baby will try to bounce back and show the promotion he can still compete at the highest level.

Joseph Morales Gets Biggest Fight of his Career

If on one hand Moreno is going through a difficult stretch, on the other Morales has completely turned his career around and is now reaping the rewards of his hard work. In 2019, after losing two fights in a row, "Bopo" was released from the UFC, only to return to the promotion six years later after winning The Ultimate Fighter 33. Currently riding a five-fight winning streak, the American will look to break into the division's top 15 in the biggest fight of his career.

For Moreno, the matchup represents an opportunity to get back on track and prove he still belongs among the division's elite. For Morales, it is the chance to score the biggest victory of his career and continue his remarkable rise since returning to the UFC.

Noche UFC 4 Takes Shape

Noche UFC 4 will also feature a women's flyweight bout between Alexa Grasso and Manon Fiorot. More fights are expected to be announced for the card in the coming weeks.
