Ronda Rousey has taken aim at UFC exec Hunter Campbell over the reported success of MVP MMA 1 in comparison to UFC Freedom 250.

Ronda Rousey has put forth an apparently lighthearted, albeit NSFW, jibe at UFC CBO (Chief Business Officer) Hunter Campbell.

It comes at a time when there's considerable debate and discussion around the inaugural MVP (Most Valuable Promotions) MMA event, which Rousey headlined with Gina Carano in their women's featherweight matchup last month.

Incidentally, Rousey had also lambasted Campbell earlier this year. She'd suggested that the UFC exec didn't feel that her fight against Carano would be feasible for the UFC to promote.

The consensus was that the UFC, after recently commencing its seven-year deal with Paramount, was unwilling to agree to the guaranteed and lucrative paydays that Rousey would've commanded for the high-profile matchup against a fellow megastar like Carano.

UFC Freedom 250 vs. MVP MMA 1: Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano

Many fans and experts have compared the success of MVP MMA 1 to that of the UFC Freedom 250 event, which transpired at the White House on June 14. The UFC White House card was organized in association with the U.S. government and armed forces, with President Donald Trump and many military personnel in attendance for the grand show

That event was headlined by a UFC lightweight title unifier fight between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje. The co-headliner saw Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane clash for the interim UFC heavyweight belt.

Well, boxer-cum-influencer Jake Paul and ex-UFC Chief Financial Officer Nakisa Bidarian co-founded the MVP organization in 2021, primarily engaging in athlete management and organizing boxing events. Paul has long been a vocal critic of the UFC over issues such as fighter pay, healthcare, etc.

Their first MMA event was MVP MMA 1: Rousey vs. Carano, which went down at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, on May 16. In addition to women's MMA pioneers Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano, the card also featured ex-UFC stars Nate Diaz and Mike Perry, as well as former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

Intriguingly, Rousey took aim at Hunter Campbell during an appearance on CBS Mornings back in April. She implied that her longtime friend, UFC CEO and president Dana White, wasn't running things at the UFC anymore and that Campbell was the one in charge.

The bronze medalist Olympic Judoka and former UFC women's bantamweight champion accused Campbell of attempting to sabotage a potential fight between her and Carano in the UFC.

She alleged that he was misrepresenting Carano, saying that she won't make weight and trying to match her (Rousey) against different opponents, which is why she and Carano eventually chose free agency and a collaboration with MVP MMA for their fight.

"Rowdy" Ronda Rousey jabs at UFC CBO Hunter Campbell over the viewership reports regarding MVP MMA 1 vs. UFC Freedom 250

As reported by The Athletic of The New York Times, Adobe Analytics Data and Nielsen statistics indicated that UFC Freedom 250 had 17 million unique viewers tuning in for a minute at the very least.

Also, it boasted an average viewership of 8.2 million across Latin America and the U.S., whereas the number was 7 million in the U.S. alone. The UFC White House MMA event thereby earned the distinction of being the most-watched live exclusive event in the history of Paramount+.

Nevertheless, the MVP MMA card headlined by Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano -- both of whom are MMA legends and Hollywood stars -- garnered a worldwide viewership of 17 million at its peak during the Rousey-Carano matchup.

Additionally, it bagged a global viewership of 12.4 million and a U.S. viewership of 9.3 million. MVP execs Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian celebrated the event's success, as did Rousey, Carano, and other personalities associated with it.

A recent report by Complex also highlighted the mammoth viewership garnered by both events. For his part, Bidarian has seemingly acknowledged that the UFC is still the world's premier mixed martial arts organization.

Moreover, many in the combat sports community have pointed out that the MVP MMA card was boosted by virtue of being broadcast on Netflix, a global OTT platform with considerable influence in the American market and beyond.

Another noteworthy point made was that it was also a unique event, tough to replicate, as it featured Rousey and Carano returning from retirement after several years.

The fight witnessed "Rowdy" emerging victorious with her signature armbar, submitting Carano in just 17 seconds. While Rousey made a post-fight assertion that she's retired from MMA for good now, Carano implied she'd like to compete again.

All things considered, Rousey has now taken to X and alluded to the reports of the MVP MMA event's tremendous success, which appears to have outdone the special UFC Freedom 250 card in certain metrics.

Capping off her X post with a 'winking face with tongue' emoji -- implying that her remark was a rather playful one and not necessarily one with seriousness -- Rousey wrote, "Lmao! Kiss my a*s Hunter Campbell."
