Sean Brady determined to beat Jordan Burroughs at RAF 12

Sean Brady isn't turning up to RAF 12 just to pick up a check, he's aiming to outwrestle Jordan Burroughs, regardless of the odds.
Sean Brady has taken a detour from MMA to compete at RAF 12, which takes place this evening. However, he is up against a monumental challenge in the form of Olympic freestyle champion Jordan Burroughs. Despite the slimmest of chances of victory, Brady is determined to shock the world.
Sean Brady hopes to score an upset
The RAF 12 pre-match press conference featured a range of highly credentialed freestyle wrestlers. There's Jordan Burroughs, an Olympic gold medalist and six-time world champion, along with another Olympic gold medalist in Henry Cejudo, and a three-time NCAA Division I wrestling champion in Bo Nickal, both of whom are also UFC fighters. One UFC fighter who has no wrestling credentials is Sean Brady, who is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist, yet he will be facing the great Burroughs at catchweight at RAF 12.
While he's aware that he isn't favored to win, the UFC welterweight star isn't short on confidence, and will do his best to score what would be one of the biggest upsets in freestyle wrestling history.
"I mean, just like Jordan said, the next one's always the best one. So, obviously I'm competing tomorrow night and I'm taking it very seriously. I'm coming to win. I know a lot of people don't expect me to. Obviously, I could go out there and get tech'd in 30 seconds, you know? But yeah, the next one's the biggest one. After this, I have an MMA fight and the next RAF match will be the next big one, so I'm always trying to win. I'm a competitor and I'm definitely coming to win."
Brady's wrestling and grappling skills were on full display at UFC 328, where he scored a unanimous decision win over Joaquin Buckley, who also competes at RAF 12, taking on ex-UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley at cruiserweight. It was his first win since a crushing first-round TKO loss to Michael Morales at UFC 322, and he will hope to continue his run with a second consecutive win at UFC Fight Night 283, where he takes on Gabriel Bonfim.
