UFC newcomer Muhammad Saidov has recounted some heartwarming anecdotes about rising heavyweight star Valter Walker.

Valter Walker has lately made waves in the MMA community, not only with his spectacular submission win streak, but also with his friendly persona.

The 28-year-old Brazilian MMA combatant, who's trained and resided in Russia for years, is also known to possess an incredible sense of humor akin to his older half-brother, fellow UFC fighter Johnny Walker.

That said, Valter Walker's teammate and friend, Muhammad Saidov, has now highlighted another commendable facet of the heavyweight star.

Muhammad Saidov reveals Valter Walker's acts of kindness during difficult times

During a recent conversation with Red Corner MMA, Muhammad Saidov heaped praise on Valter Walker. The 30-year-old suggested that he loves Walker, adding that the Brazilian fighter is very good-natured, albeit their mentality differs.

The undefeated MMA athlete suggested that Walker's values are similar to those of the Russian people, pointing out that it's customary for Russians to support and help one another. He opined that "The Clean Monster" isn't selfish and is a straightforward and kind person.

Moreover, Saidov, who's a devout Muslim fighter born and raised in Russia, alluded to his compatriot and UFC middleweight Shara Magomedov labeling Walker as a kind Russian man.

Apparently, Saidov has known the Brazilian submission maestro since 2022 and feels that he's maturing as a fighter. He also recalled teaching the younger Walker a few things.

Revealing how Walker helped him during financial hardships and tough times, Saidov stated:

"As a whole, I like the way he is; a friendly and vibrant person. He's always there to help. Even when I have some financial troubles, he secretly puts cash in my bag. I come home after training, take my stuff out to do the laundry, and find some money in there."

He added, "Once, he brought some protein for me. And he does those things quietly. And that's what our religion prescribes; do good, but do it quietly. And that's exactly what he does. I can't count how many times I came home and found some cash in my bag."

Saidov indicated that he'd wonder who gave him the money and why. But he'd then come to the gym, and Walker would secretly let him know that it was from him and request that he refrain from telling anyone.

"Kubik" further underscored that he has warm feelings toward his longtime teammate, Walker.

Valter Walker and Muhammad Saidov secured incredible finishes at UFC Abu Dhabi

Valter Walker and Muhammad Saidov train under the tutelage of veteran MMA coach Gor Azizyan. The two fighters' latest MMA bouts came on the same card, which was UFC Abu Dhabi that transpired on July 25.

On one hand, Walker continued his ascent up the UFC heavyweight division, as he deftly defeated America's Thomas Petersen by way of a calf-slicer submission in just 92 seconds. The fearsome grappler then cut a comedic promo against MMA referee Herb Dean, jokingly calling Dean out.

On the other hand, Muhammad Saidov made his UFC promotional debut at UFC Abu Dhabi, taking on perennial light heavyweight combatant Dustin Jacoby. Well, Saidov managed to impressively defeat Jacoby with a thunderous head kick and follow-up punches, scoring a second-round TKO victory.
