The UFC lightweight division experienced a massive shakeup this week following the promotion's latest official media rankings update. French superstar Salahdine Parnasse made a sensational leap directly into the top 10, claiming the #9 spot in his very first appearance on the official rankings board.

Polish contender Mateusz Gamrot slipped two spots to tie Renato Moicano at #11, while rising Australian prospect Tom Nolan and veteran Beneil Dariush each slid down one spot to round out the bottom of the rankings at #14 and #15, respectively.

Skipping the customary unranked grind to land squarely in the division's top 10 is a rare feat in modern UFC history, but Parnasse earned every bit of his elite standing. Having thoroughly dominated the European circuit before putting on a striking masterclass in front of his home crowd in Paris, the French phenom has made it clear that he intends to challenge for championship gold.
