UFC Mexico proved to be another rip-roaring show for the global leader in mixed martial arts, with more than a few native heroes getting their chance to shine on the big stage.
In the headlining bout of UFC Mexico City, Lone’er Kavanagh silenced doubters by besting previous flyweight champion Brandon Moreno in what played out as a near blowout performance.
In the co-main event, David Martinez had to dig deep within himself to eek out a close unanimous decision victory over bantamweight stalwart Marlon Vera.

His unanimous decision triumph over Pacheco at UFC Mexico City brought his 100% finish streak to an end. It was the first time one of his fights had seen the scorecards since his final match as an amateur all the way back in 2023. He is now 2-0 in the UFC since making his debut back in September of last year.
