We all love finishes, don’t we?

From Ryo Chonan’s classic heel-hook submission victory over Anderson Silva to Edson Barboza’s signature spinning head kick knockout of Terry Etim, fighters always have a trick or two up their sleeves.

It doesn’t always have to be about eulogized knockouts, though.

As fans of Mixed Martial Arts, our preferences may not hover over submission maneuvers but you have to admit that they do involve a lot more skill and technique. And rest assured, they’re just as every bit devastating as knockouts.

South Korea’s ROAD Fighting Championship has gone through its video vault for the calendar year, excavating its top three submissions of 2013.

Check them out below, and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below:

  1. Min Song Jong (ROAD FC 013)
  2. Murat Kazgan (ROAD FC 011)
  3. Celine Haga (ROAD FC 012)
