Virna Jandiroba vs. Tatiana Suarez set for UFC Vegas 124
The former title challengers will finally meet in a highly ranked strawweight matchup on Nov. 7.
Virna Jandiroba and Tatiana Suarez are set to face each other at UFC Vegas 124 on Nov. 7. After two previous attempts to book the fight, the strawweight top contenders will finally meet at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas in a matchup that could have major implications for the division. The bout was first reported by Ag Fight.
Virna Jandiroba and Tatiana Suarez Finally Meet
Jandiroba and Suarez have been scheduled to fight twice before, but the matchup fell through on both occasions. The first attempt came in August 2023, when a knee injury forced Jandiroba out of the fight. Jessica Andrade stepped in as her replacement and was submitted by Suarez in the second round.
The UFC booked the matchup again for UFC 310 in December 2024. However, Suarez withdrew from the fight weeks before the event, leading the bout to be canceled.
The matchup will finally come together with both fighters among the top contenders in the division. Jandiroba is coming off a unanimous decision win over Tabatha Ricci in April, while Suarez most recently submitted Lupita Godinez at UFC 327. Both fighters have already challenged for the division's title, but they fell short on both occasions.

With Jandiroba sitting at No. 2 and Suarez at No. 3 in the division, the winner of the bout could move closer to another opportunity to fight for the strawweight championship. Mackenzie Dern currently holds the title and doesn't have a date or opponent set for her next title defense.
Jandiroba enters the matchup with a 23-4 record and has won 14 of her professional fights by submission. Suarez, meanwhile, owns a 12-1 record and has won six fights by submission.
UFC Vegas 124 is already taking shape, with Gabriel Bonfim vs. Sean Brady set to headline the event.
