DWCS 91 Caps First Half of 10th Season with Exciting Fights!

DWCS 91, the fifth week of Dana White's Contender Series, 10th anniversary season, is upon us. On the night after the Labor Day holiday, it'll be business as usual inside the Meta Apex in Enterprise, NV.

Up to now, 20 graduates of the 10th season of DWCS have secured UFC contracts as a direct result of appearing on the show. This figure includes all five winners from last week's installment. Live coverage of DWCS 91 begins Tuesday night at 7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT on Paramount Plus and will feature the customary five-fight card. 

After four weeks of action in this 10th anniversary season, this week's crop of competitors have a lot to live up to given what's transpired in events on previous Tuesdays inside the Apex. Who will be next to go viral for their performance inside the Octagon during the middle of the week?

DWCS 91 Main Event: Arlind Berisha vs. Quentin Pasley: FCR Stalwart Looking for UFC Deal

At the top of the bill this Tuesday night, the light heavyweights will by vying for a UFC contract inside the fabled Octagon in a fight between Arlind Berisha (5-0 MMA,) an alumnus of Sweden's Fight Club Rush, and Quentin Pasley (3-0 MMA,) a veteran of the LFA. All fights on Contender Series are an advertised maximum of three rounds at five minutes per round.

Berisha enters DWCS 91 having yet to lose in his career. Counting bouts in amateur competition, he's won seven in a row heading into Tuesday's main event.

Back on the night of Feb. 7, he only needed 31 seconds to submit Wesley Silva (5-7 MMA) by way of guillotine choke in FCR 27 from Orebro's Conventum Orebro. Anytime a prospect can stop his opponent inside the first round's first minute, it sends a message that he's ready for a fight on Contender Series. 

Quentin Pasley Fights on Contender Series in Fourth Pro Appearance

Across the way, Quentin Pasley enters the DWCS 91 main event, his fourth bout as a professional fighter, sporting an undefeated record under MMA rules. He was slated to have competed last season on the show before his fight against Felipe Franco was postponed for reasons unknown.

In the interim, Pasley boxed Payton Rose in June, scoring a first-round knockout. As far MMA fights are concerned, his last bout resulted in a first-round victory over Jerrell Nettles (5-13 MMA) in CES almost 13 months ago.

He's had to wait almost a full year to get a chance to prove himself on the Contender Series spotlight. How will Pasley fare?

DWCS 91 Co-Main Event: Isaac Moreno vs. Reginaldo Geraldo Jr.: Fury Alum Seeks Ninth Straight Win in Short-Notice Bout

Immediately beforehand, the welterweights go to battle when Isaac Moreno (8-0 MMA,) formerly of Fury FC, fights Reginaldo Geraldo Jr. (11-1 MMA.)  Moreno comes in on short-notice for this fight with an undefeated record in his career.

Initially, Geraldo Jr. was to have fought Stefano Paterno of Cage Warriors before the latter was forced out of the contest due to injury. Moreno's last fight was two weeks before Halloween last year.

That October night, he finished Darian Weeks (10-5 MMA) with punches inside the first round of action. Prior to stepping in for the injured Stefano Paterno, Isaac Moreno was to have versed Dilano Taylor in Fury FC 125 on Oct. 2. 

Given that Isaac Moreno is accepting this fight on 13 days' notice, how much preparation has he had for the contest? Only time will tell.

Reginaldo Geraldo Jr. Finally Fights Again in DWCS 91 

Meanwhile, Reginaldo Geraldo Jr. has posted a record of 5-0 in his last five outings. Back on Nov. 7, he scored a third-round submission by way of anaconda choke against Natan Mota (9-4 MMA) in LFA 221.

After the Nov. 7 win, Geraldo Jr. was due to have fought Claudio Nardo (9-5 MMA) in LFA 234 before withdrawing from the card due to an illness. As previously mentioned, Geraldo Jr. had been booked for a fight against Stefano Paterno before he resigned from the fight due to injury. 

By the time Tuesday night rolls around, 305 days will have elapsed between contests for Reginaldo Geraldo Jr. How much ring rust does he have going into this one?

DWCS 91: Martin Kozak vs. Christian Echols: RFA Champ Looking to Trade Belt for Contract

Also on DWCS 91, middleweight action will take place when Martin Kozak (6-0 MMA,) a former champion in Real Fight Arena, battles Christian Echols (8-4 MMA,) the former CFC Light Heavyweight Champion and an alumnus of both Bellator and CFFC. Kozak has yet to lose as a pro heading into DWCS 91.

Amateur MMA included, he's won 12 fights in a row, but he's had a change in opponent. At first, Kozak was due to fight Juan Cabrera on Tuesday night, but Cabrera bowed out of the show due to problems securing a visa for a trip to the United States. 

On April 18, he secured the RFA Middleweight Championship with a third-roud knockout due to a front body kick. Kozak already has a championship to his credit prior to DWCS 91, but can he cash in with a UFC deal?

Christian Echols Makes First Walk of 2026

In the other corner, Christian Echols has gone 4-1 in his last five fights. On Nov. 22 of last year, he scored the CFC Light Heavyweight Championship with a first-round knockout of Brian Jackson (1-13 MMA.) 

This was Jackson's 13th consecutive setback. After Echols' championship win, he was due to face Andrew Stewart (6-3 MMA) in LFA 226 in Clarksville, TN at a 191-lb catchweight, but the fight was postponed due to him missing weight the day before the show. 

Can he secure a victory in his first fight of the year?

DWCS 91 is rounded out by a bantamweight fight between Kwon Won Il (14-6 MMA, 0-1 DWCS) and Apollo Gomez (12-2, 1 NC MMA) in the former's second Contender Series appearance in as many seasons and a flyweight bout matching Colton Loud (7-1 MMA) with Christian Natividad (9-0 MMA.)
