DWCS 93 Unleashes Amazing Midweek Card on Last Night of Summer

DWCS 93, week seven of the 2026 season of Dana White's Contender Series, is upon us. Tuesday night, on the last night of the summer season, 10 more MMA prospects will set foot inside the fabled Octagon in hopes of joining the 28 DWCS graduates to already receive a UFC contract by way of the show this year.

Live coverage of DWCS 93 begins at 7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT on Paramount Plus this Tuesday night. As always, five fights will comprise the midweek MMA event. Meta Apex will serve as the setting for DWCS 93.

DWCS 93 Main Event: Norbert Novenyi Jr. vs. Theo Haig: Former Bellator Stalwart Aims for UFC Deal

At the top of the bill for DWCS 93 this Tuesday night, the middleweights go to battle when Norbert Novenyi Jr. (10-1 MMA,) late of Bellator MMA, collides with Theo Haig (7-1 MMA 0-1 DWCS) in the latter's second Contender Series appearance. All DWCS fights are an advertised three rounds at five minutes per round, DWCS 93 main event included.

Novenyi has posted a record of 4-1 in his last five fights. At the moment, he's won three bouts in a row. Last time out, he scored a first-round knockout (ground and pound from back mount) of Clement Giordanengo (7-2 MMA) during Hexagone MMA 42 on March 26 from Saint-Herblain, France.

Novenyi has already had a taste of big-league MMA with a record of 6-1 under the Bellator MMA promotional banner and had advanced to the Hexagone MMA Middleweight Tournament Final before he suffered an injury ahead of a planned June fight versus Matthieu Duclose. 

He was headed foe a tournament championship as recently as three months ago. Can he get into the UFC on Tuesday night?

Theo Haig Looks to Avenge Only Career Defeat in Second DWCS Appearance

Across the way, Haig enters DWCS 93 this Tuesday with a 4-1 record of his own in the last five outings. This is his second Contender Series fight in as many years. 

Last September, the then-undefeated Theo Haig was on the receiving end of a first-round knockout due to hammerfists from Cezary Oleksiejczuk (17-3 MMA) during DWCS 80 at the then-UFC Apex in Enterprise. In more recent times, he returned to the LFA back in February, submitting Lance Wright (7-5 MMA) inside the second round with a rear-naked choke.

Haig only had less than a minute of action in the Octagon last summer and absorbed a knockout when he first appeared on Contender Series. It isn't too often that a fighter gets a second chance at a UFC deal, so can he make the most of it?

DWCS 93 Co-Main Event: Jaden Ortega vs. Alvi Dasuyev: Combate Global Alumnus Vies for Deal

Immediately beforehand, the co-main event features a pair of undefeated welterweight fighters going to battle. Jaden Ortega (6-0 MMA,) who just turned 24 on Friday, an alum of Combate Global, fights Alvi Dasuyev (9-0 MMA.) 

Both fighters have yet to lose as professionals. For Ortega, he last fought during Combate Global's Feb. 26 show, finishing off Ricardo Chaves inside the first 30 seconds of the second round,

This was his first stoppage win to be recorded outside of the opening round of a fight in his professional MMA career. A scheduled May 9 fight in Combate Global that would have matched Ortega against Alan Dominguez wound up postponed ahead of the show.

His opponent has an undefeated record of his own right, however.

Ares FC Champ Dasuyev Looks to Trade Belt in for Contract

Meanwhile, Alvi Dasuyev, a former ARES FC Welterweight Champion, won the title in his last bout this past June against Mohamed Soumah (4-3 MMA.) This was the second promotion he's won a championship in, having secured the AEC Welterweight Championship nearly 10 months ago.

Dasuyev has two check marks going for him on his resume ahead of DWCS 93 on Tuesday: an undefeated record and two victories in championship fights. If he is able to secure a viral victory during DWCS 93 this coming week, he'll be one of the newest members of the UFC's active roster by the time this week's show ends.

DWCS 93: Marcos Degli vs. Paris Moran: LFA Flyweight Champ Looking for 13th Straight Win

Also on DWCS 93 Tuesday night, the flyweights clash when Marcos Degli (14-3 MMA,) the former LFA Flyweight Champion, battles Paris Moran (14-3, 1 NC MMA,) the former Fury FC Flyweight Champion. Degli enters this week's show sporting a mark of 5-0 in his last five outings as part of a 12-fight winning streak. 

Back in January, he defended the LFA Flyweight Championship for the second time by way of first-round knockout due to a left hook against Luis Aguilar. He ran his unbeaten run to 12 contests. 

Degli hasn't fought since that winter's night. How much ring rust does he have ahead of DWCS 93?

Paris Moran Finally Gets Crack at UFC Deal

In the other corner, Paris Moran enters DWCS 93 with a 3-1 record with one no-contest in his past five trips to the cage. At the moment, he's won two fights in a row.

Back in May, he secured his second straight win with a split decision over Roybert Echeverria (10-3 MMA.) In so doing, he secured the Fury FC Flyweight Championship for the second time in his tenure after having defended it twice over in his original stint as titlist.

In March of 2024, this Website ran an opinion piece about how Paris Moran was ready to be called up to the UFC. Two and a half years later, he's just 15 minutes or less away from securing a contract in the promotion.

Two other fights round out DWCS 93 Tuesday night, a lightweight bout between Callum Connor (8-0 MMA) and Piero Guaylupo (11-0 MMA,) and a light heavyweight showcase versing Emilio Quissua (8-0 MMA) with Damian Piwowarczyk (11-4 MMA.)
