Touching down in Washington this weekend, UFC Seattle sets the table for an exciting middleweight matchup when previous champion Israel Adesanya takes on Contender Series standout Joe Pyfer in the UFC Seattle main event. In the co-main event of UFC Seattle, former women’s flyweight apex Alexa Grasso goes to war with top contender Maycee Barber.

Having cemented his place in mixed martial arts history as a five-time defending title holder, Adesanya has carved out a legacy as one of the best fighters of all time. Currently in the midst of a three-bout losing skid, “The Last Stylebender” walks into his 12th consecutive UFC main event in UFC Seattle.

Earning his contract with the organization back in 2022, Pyfer has gone on to become a top fan favorite in the division. Boasting an almost 100 percent finishing rate, the aptly- nicknamed “Bodybagz” has proven to be a hard test for almost everyone he has faced in the Octagon thus far ahead of UFC Seattle.

UFC Seattle Co-Main Event

From reigning atop the weight class to going 0-2-1 in her last three bouts, Grasso has recently fallen on hard times since capturing the 125-lb throne from Valentina Shevchenko in 2023. Taking almost a year off from competition, the Mexico native is dialing it in to secure her first victory in over three years.

Back in 2021 at UFC 258, Barber suffered the last loss of her professional career to Grasso, falling to the future champion by decision. In the time since then, “The Future” has won her previous seven contests in a row, and now she will seek to make it eight when she meets Grasso again in a rematch this Saturday.

More Bouts On the UFC Seattle Main Card

Rounding out the main card, Michael Chiesa makes his final walk to the cage against Niko Price. Then, Julian Erosa locks horns with LerryAn Douglas. Also, the undefeated Mansur Abdul-Malik battles Yousri Belgaroui. Finally, Terrance McKinney and Kyle Nelson kick off the show in a sure-fire lightweight thriller.

UFC Seattle Predictions and Staff Picks

MMASucka staff picks are composed of four of the world’s leading mixed martial arts organizations: the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the Professional Fighters League (PFL), ONE Championship (ONE FC), and Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS).

  • UFC picks will include main card fights ranging from four to six matchups per event.
  • PFL picks from main cards for pay-per-views and from tournament fights in the Regular Season, Playoffs, and Finals.
