Returning for an amazing early card, UFC Perth will see the return of a former champion, when welterweight phenom Jack Della Maddalena comes to blows with Brazilian knockout artist Carlos Prates. In the co-main event, lightweight luminary Beneil Dariush trades punches with Aussie prospect Quillan Salkilld.

UFC Perth Main Event: Jack Della Maddalena vs. Carlos Prates

At UFC 315,Della Maddalena stunned the mixed martial arts world by dethroning Belal Muhammad after a hard-fought five-round war. Sadly, a long and prosperous championship reign wasn’t in the cards for the Perth native, as a lop-sided decision loss to challenger Islam Makhachev saw him drop his strap in disappointing fashion. For Della Maddalena, his main event showing this weekend is his chance to return to form.

With his heavy hands and top-tier striking skills, Prates has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the 170-lb category. Ending all of his wins inside the Octagon by highlight-reel knockout, “The Nightmare” has proven to be an immense problem for both sterling contenders and previous champions alike.

UFC Perth Co-Main Event: Beneil Dariush vs. Quillan Sallkild

For over 12 years,Dariush has encountered his fair share of ups and downs during his ascension in the lightweight division. However, in recent years, the Kings MMA product has struggled against the new wave of young talent and living legends that currently occupy the top 15, with him losing three of his last four fights by first round stoppage.

Undefeated for over five years, Salkilld in the midst of an immaculate 11-bout winning streak. Emerging as one of lightweights premier prospects, he has earned post-fight bonuses in both of his last two UFC contests.
