The PFL’s latest offering comes in the form of a highly-stacked fight card in PFL 3, featuring former champs from across multiple different weight classes. Taking top billing, Impa Kasanganay looks to bounce back toward title contention as he locks horns with previous Bellator stalwart Fabian Edwards. Also, the streaking Gadzhi Rabadanov clashes with UFC veteran Marc Diakiese in what has all the makings for a striking extravaganza.
PFL 3 Main Event
Prior to the PFL championship finale last year, Kasanganay had lost just once in two years, with that lone setback coming to the undefeated Johnny Eblen. Although he hoped to replicate his championship-winning 2023 run, the Florida resident was quickly floored in less than a minute by Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov. Competing now at middleweight for the first time in almost three years, “Tshilobo” is now set on conquering an entirely different category on his quest toward reclaiming his place at the top, starting with the PFL 3 main event.
In the same position as his upcoming opponent, Edwards has also only lost to Eblen over the course of the past couple of years, having fought the Bellator champion on two occasions. This includes falling to the American last October in Saudi Arabia by unanimous decision at the PFL Super Fights: Battle of the Giants event. Stepping up for his first bout of 2025, Edwards can begin the conquest towards a possible third contest with Eblen should he manage to defeat Kasanganay during PFL 3.
PFL 3 Co-Main Event
Riding an impressive 10-fight win streak, Rabadanov recorded a splendid run in the 2024 lightweight tournament last year, sweeping the bracket without hardly breaking a sweat with a perfect 4-0 record. Poised for a dominant return, the Russian has all the makings of an undeniably force as one of the PFL’s top pound-for-pound fighters.
With seven years of experience fighting in the UFC, Diakiese brings to the table a wealth of knowledge as he looks to stake his claim to being a tournament hopeful. Coming off of a triumphant performance at Bellator Champions Series 5, “Bonecrusher” has the chance to dethrone a true bracket threat while cementing his own place as a 155-lb contender.
More Bouts On the Main Card
Also on the PFL 3 main card, former welterweight king Sadibou Sy crosses paths with Dalton Rosta. Then, the well-traveled Mads Burnell battles Jay-Jay Wilson. Also, fan-favorite boxing specialist Clay Collard locks horns with Alfie Davis.
