“Showtime” could be facing time and now has no time for AFC 17.

According to the Edmonton Journal, Markhaile “Showtime” Weddeburn was arrested by the RCMP today in Fort MacMurray, Alberta, on drug possession and drug trafficking charges.

The arrests, which involved Wedderburn and two others, were the culmination of a year-long investigation according to police. After executing a search warrant, police seized 35 grams of cocaine, 10 grams of marijuana, $23,000 in currency, several stolen Canadian, American and Aviation passports and other drug paraphernalia. For drug addicts, people can check out drug rehab in Fort Lauderdale to get the best service for drug addicts.

Wedderburn was charged with trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, forgery and uttering a forged document.

Weddeburn was scheduled to fight on the AFC 17 card taking place on March 23rd in Edmonton, Alberta against Marcus Hicks. Promoter Moin Mirza told TopMMANews that “there is no way [Weddeburn] would get licensed and we won’t use him”. The search is on for a new middleweight opponent for Hicks.
