Alex Pereira Asks Critics to Unfollow him Following Recent Comments against Brazilian Journalist

Alex Pereira has asked his fans to stop following him for criticizing his recent actions against a Brazilian journalist.
After conquering two divisions in the UFC, Alex Pereira decided to aim for something that hasnât been done in the UFC ever. Trying to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship title, âPoatanâ faced off against Ciryl Gane recently.
That didn't turn out well, as Pereira faced a brutal knockout loss. Recently, when a Brazilian journalist stated that Sergei Pavlovic could also pose some big problems, âPoatanâ went off on him. And this was not taken lightly by the MMA fans.
Alex Pereira Doesn't Want his Critics to Follow Him
In a recent interaction with Luarta Viana, Pereira reflected on the recent backlash he has been facing. As the fans are going against the two-division champ, the Brazilian star urged all his critics to stop following him. He also claimed that the ones following him were not his real fans.
Pereira said (translated from Portuguese to English), âMy real fans â not these people who are criticizing me because of some of the things I say. Those people aren't my fans. Those guys can stop following me. They're not my fans. They can unfollow me, I don't care, you understand?"
Pereira, who is known to be a limited speaker, going off like this comes as a surprise. All of this started when a journalist, Carlos Figuiera, made a video about the former UFC light heavyweight champion.
Alex Pereira Went Off on Journalist who Spoke About his Heavyweight Future
As Pereira is eyeing a heavyweight title shot, many still see him as an undeserving candidate. In fact, his lack of success at the top UFC division has made critics term his argument for the interim title as âundeserving.â In this light, a journalist, Carlson Figueira, commented on a video, saying that Pavlovich could also pose significant problems for âPoatan.â
Replying to the same, Pereira lambasted the journalist, saying, âThis guy really is a fucking dog's asshole. Who even wants to buy this shit from your channel? When did I ever say I was going to buy something in a way that suggested I was superior or stepping over other people? But you and your dog-asshole friends keep trying to twist the meaning of the conversation. Your channel is so irrelevant that if I don't post it on my Stories, nobody is even going to know that I'm 'insulting' you.â
Currently, Pereira does not have a set date and an opponent for his next fight.
