Gaston Reyno had a special guest meet him with family before his high-stakes bare-knuckle boxing match that headlined the BKFC's first event in Uruguay.
Gaston Reyno earned the distinction of having made history by headlining the BKFC's first-ever event in South America, which was its maiden visit to the South American nation of Uruguay.
The 39-year-old fighter also piqued fan interest in the combat sports realm and beyond by partaking in a respectful meeting with the incumbent president of Uruguay, Yamandu Orsi.

The BKFC's official social media handles have put forth video footage of the meeting between Gaston Reyno and President Yamandu Orsi.
President Orsi appeared to lightheartedly say, "How are you? I don't want to intrude." Reyno smilingly replied by suggesting that he wasn't intruding. The bare-knuckle fighter proceeded to greet a few other individuals who'd entered the locker room, who are believed to be the Uruguayan political leader's family members.
The youngsters, too, greeted the BKFC star ahead of the high-profile showdown he was set to compete in.
Moreover, President Orsi alluded to the electrifying environment at the historic event, indicating that the fans' cheers were going to blow the roof off the arena. Reyno further reaffirmed that he had no qualms about meeting the politician and the others that close to the fight.
"Tonga" and President Orsi spoke about the former's fighter attire for the special event, including his shoes. The president signaled that he loved the phrase engraved on his shoes, which stated that no one is more than anyone.
Reyno concurred and suggested that it's his "favorite phrase" because it gives him the confidence to fight anyone, whilst also ensuring that he himself is humble. President Orsi then noted that he recently interacted with Reyno's father as well.
The meeting drew to a close, as the BKFC star was fast approaching his main event matchup. He expressed his respect for the president yet again, stating, "Thank you for coming."

MMA veteran Gaston Reyno stays unbeaten in bare-knuckle boxing, sets hometown fans abuzz with TKO of Josh Krejci at BKFC Uruguay
Gaston Reyno is known to be a multidisciplinary combat sportsperson, having competed in mixed martial arts, professional boxing, and bare-knuckle boxing.
The Montevideo-born combatant boasts a pro MMA record of nine victories, two defeats, and two fights ending via NC (No Contest).
He has a lone pro boxing bout, which he won. Also, his bare-knuckle boxing record now stands at 4-0, with all four of his fights in the sport having transpired under the BKFC promotional banner. Reyno was fresh off a TKO win over Dusty Sparks last December.
On the other hand, Reyno's opponent, Josh Krejci, has also competed in MMA, in addition to boasting one bout in bare-knuckle MMA as well. The American fighter is now 2-3 in bare-knuckle boxing.
Krejci, who's been known to represent the U.S. states of Nebraska and Missouri, was coming off an impressive knockout victory against Austin Peterson, whom he faced in April of last year.
Well, the BKFC Uruguay event -- held at the Antel Arena in Montevideo, Uruguay on July 25 -- was headlined by Gaston Reyno and Josh Krejci clashing in a high-octane lightweight matchup. Reyno displayed excellent defensive pugilism against an extremely aggressive foe.
The official statistics put forth by the BKFC revealed that Reyno threw 17 punches to Krejci's 29, but the Uruguayan fighter was more effective with his power and technique.
He rolled well against the American's punches and dominantly ended the fight at the 1:29-minute mark of the very first round with a thunderous right-hand that knocked Krejci down and put him out for the count. Reyno thereby secured the first-round TKO win, much to the delight of his compatriots in attendance.
Furthermore, the win has sparked speculation about whether the undefeated Reyno could be en route to becoming a world champion soon. The BKFC lightweight division, for its part, witnessed a significant development recently.
