Casey O'Neill set to face Eduarda Moura at UFC 331

The UFC 331 card is slowly starting to take shape. Scheduled for Sept. 19 in Los Angeles, the event will feature an exciting matchup in the women's flyweight division as Casey O'Neill is set to face Eduarda Moura. The bout will mark O'Neill's second fight of the year after more than a year and a half away from competition, while Moura will look to bounce back from a loss in her most recent Octagon appearance. The fight was reported by journalist Leo Guimaraes, although the UFC has yet to make an official announcement.

Casey O'Neill Looks to Extend Winning Streak

O'Neill got off to a promising start in the UFC. After making her promotional debut in February 2021, "King" won her first four fights in the promotion, finishing three of those opponents. Following that strong run, O'Neill lost two fights in a row to Jennifer Maia and Ariane Lipski. The Scottish fighter bounced back with a win over Luana Santos in 2024 and followed it up with another victory more than a year and a half later. Now, O'Neill will enter the fight looking to extend her winning streak.

Eduarda Moura Seeks to Bounce Back

Moura, meanwhile, has experienced ups and downs since signing with the UFC. Following her participation in Dana White's Contender Series, "Ronda" made her promotional debut in 2023 with a TKO win over Montserrat Ruiz. Since then, Moura has gone 2-2 in the Octagon and suffered a loss to Wang Cong in her last appearance. The Brazilian has also faced problems making weight for her UFC fights, having missed the limit three times since joining the promotion. Moura will now have the opportunity to return to the win column when she faces O'Neill at UFC 331.

The matchup will pit two ranked flyweight contenders against each other, with O'Neill currently sitting at No. 12 and Moura at No. 13 in the division. More bouts are expected to be announced for UFC 331 in the coming weeks as the card continues to take shape ahead of the promotion's return to Los Angeles.
