Dana White Drops Interesting Take On Maxx Crosby’s UFC Future

Dana White feels NFL star Maxx Crosby can become a future UFC champion.
Dana White's Contender Series is in full swing and fans have already witnessed some electrifying bouts. For example, Bilal Hasan came in like a storm to knock out his opponent within a minute. Next up, Anthony Wint faced off against Matthew Adams to headline week 1 of the DWCS.
He, too, secured his win in just 34 seconds. Looking at such performances, the UFC boss made a surprising comment about NFL star Maxx Crosby.
What Did Dana White Say About Maxx Crosby?
The Maxx Crosby story actually circles back to how Wint performed. Apart from being a mixed martial artist, the 30-year-old was a former linebacker for the New York Jets in the NFL. With more and more former football stars finding UFC success, White could not help but mention Crosby.
The UFC CEO pointed out that the Las Vegas Raiders’ defensive end could have become the UFC champion.
White said, “When you look at a lot of these guys that play in the NFL, if they… Imagine if Maxx Crosby trained in MMA since he was a kid, he would be a world champion right now. And I believe that to my core. And I know a lot of sh*t about Maxx Crosby that you guys don’t know.”
This isn't the first time that White has praised Crosby. Earlier this year, the NFL star revealed how Hunter Campbell and White had called him to become the UFC heavyweight champion by 2030 or 2031. But is the 28-year-old ready for a career change?
Will Maxx Crosby Join The UFC?
Following the retirement of Jon Jones, the heavyweight division has seemingly lacked the star power. Thus, if the 6-foot-5 Crosby decides to enter the octagon, it will be a welcome addition. When asked about his stance, the Raiders star stated that he usually does not limit himself to a set pattern. But at the moment, he is unsure.
Crosby further teased, “ body's been through a lot. But, if it makes sense at the time and if it's in my heart and my soul that I want to go out there and go compete, it might just happen. You never know."
