After the DWCS Season 10, week 3, during the post-event presser, the UFC boss was asked about Anthony Wint quickly making a turnaround after fighting and securing the contract he fought in just 11 days at UFC Sacramento. Replying to that, White said he loves fighters like these who are always ready to fight. Subsequently, he shared details of a UFC veteran who earned $11 million just by staying active.
âWhen I told you guys last week that this show has paid fighters that have come off at like, 225 million dollars over the last 10 years. And one of the guys that never fought for a world title wasn't has made over 11 million dollars So staying active and keeping yourself out there in everybody's faces not only good financially, but you have a very limited amount of time to make a lot of money in any sport. So staying active is the move. I love it,â White said.
Fighters such as Waldo Cortes Acosta have competed in over 7 fights in just 13 months, which means their earnings are comparable or more than a fighter who competes in only a title fight. Keeping on fighting has its own reward, for sure.

Earlier, White said fighters from the Contender Series have earned $225.3 million together. The show helps new fighters quickly reach the UFC instead of fighting for years in smaller leagues. âI got one for you I wanted to share with you guy,â White told. âSo this thing started July 17th, 2017. So from that day to today, the fighters who have made it into the UFC from the Contender Series, have made $225.3 million. Talk about an opportunity,â he added.
Exactly. DWCS graduates like Jamahal Hill, Sean OâMalley, and many others didnât just make money after reaching the UFC. But they built massive fanbases, became stars, and even went on to win UFC titles.
