Darren Till may just make his way back into the UFC, and he's already planning on who he wants to take on, naming Sean Strickland and Bo Nickal.

Darren Till has been away from the Octagon for a while, but "The Gorilla" is officially catching that familiar itch again. The former UFC welterweight title challenger, who stepped away from the promotion in early 2023 following a string of tough losses, has spent his recent years staying busy across the combat sports landscape. After venturing into boxing and making waves under the BKFC umbrella, the 33-year-old Scouser is openly entertaining a grand return to the premier MMA organization.

Reflecting on his journey, Till hasn't lost an ounce of his signature bravado. While acknowledging that a walk back to the Octagon isn't something that happens overnight, he already has his sights set on some big-time marquee matchups at middleweight.

Targeting Big Names and Proving His Worth

When asked if he would consider fighting Bo Nickal, he responded, saying, "Yeah, 100%, me and him have had a back and forth as well. We could definitely headline a Fight Night if I was to come back.”

Beyond the dynamic wrestling phenom, Till also brought up former middleweight champion Sean Strickland as a fan-favorite striker's delight.

“I know me and Sean Strickland — the striker matchup. I know that would be a great fight. I know that deep down.”

Till isn't under any illusion that he can just waltz straight back into the top 5 without putting in the work. Holding a professional MMA record of 18-5-1, the Liverpool native knows that rebuilding his standing in the sport requires patience, humility, and dominant performances.

“You’ve got to think big in this life as well, haven’t you? So why not?” Till admitted. “There would have to be a lot of fights. I’d have to make my name again and really prove myself. You can’t go out there disrespecting the whole UFC roster.”

While a return to the cage might still be a couple of years down the line, the drive to compete at the highest level of MMA hasn't faded.

“I don’t see why in two years I can’t be back there. I’m already getting the buzz speaking to you, which is mad.”

If Till can carry his striking power and renewed passion back into the UFC, matchups against rising stars like Nickal or proven volume strikers like Strickland would be absolute box-office TV for fight fans.
