German kickboxer ‘The Hurricane’ Enriko Kehl has officially signed with GLORY Kickboxing. The news was announced yesterday via Instagram.

“OFFICIAL: has signed with GLORY! Who would you like to see him square off against in his first fight?”

Enriko Kehl Signs with GLORY

‘The Hurricane’ Enriko Kehl German-born professional kickboxer with a record of 51-17-2. The 30-year-old athlete is best known for his K-1 World MAX 2014 World Championship Tournament victory, plus his wins over Chingiz Allazov and Buakaw Banchamek. The fighter has competed in both Kickboxing and Muay Thai. Most recently, he was competing in ONE Championship’s featherweight kickboxing division at 155 lbs.

In GLORY Kickboxing, he will be competing in the stacked lightweight division at 155 lbs. The world champion in this weight class is Morocco’s Tyjani Beztati. Plus, the top ten includes Stoyan Koprivlenski, Guerric Billet, Josh Jaunceyand Mohammed Jaraya.

While Kehl is a professional kickboxer, he is also a member of the German special forces riot unit. Discussing his other job, he spoke in an interview with ONE Championship and said:

“I also chose the way of the police officer because I wanted to help people. That’s a big reason. I like this job, and I would never change it … I think that the discipline helped me more in my job than the other way around because my character was formed from being 6 years old, not by the police education. But in the police, you have to respect other people, so it also helps … Fighting is my life for sure, but I never stopped working at the police. it’s hard, I have no free time, but I choose this way, and I think this is the way of the champion.”

Kickboxing fans are looking forward to the official debut of Germany’s ‘The Hurricane’ Kehl in GLORY later this year.
