“I Did Exactly What You Asked”: Muhammad Mokaev Fires Back at Dana White With His Resume After UFC Exit
The 17-0 record holder says he has followed the UFC CEO’s plan as he said and now wants his spot back in the UFC.
Two years ago, the UFC removed the British flyweight contender Muhammad Mokaev due to internal conflicts. And in the same breath, Dana White gave him a blueprint for getting back into the UFC: prove yourself somewhere else.
Now, after winning titles at Brave CF, ACBJJ, and keeping his undefeated record intact, the British star has knocked on Dana White’s door.
Muhammad Mokaev Wants Dana White’s Attention
After his big win yesterday against Maurice Boleyan at ACBJJ, Mokaev called out the UFC boss in a video. "Dana said two years ago, 'Become champion somewhere else.' I became BRAVE CF champion, ACBJJ champion, 5 fights, 4 finishes, staying busy and showing the world why I'm the best flyweight in the world," Mokaev said.
Mokaev joined the UFC in 2022 and achieved a perfect 7-0 record. However, his contract expired in 2024, and he was not re-signed by the promotion due to several disputes, one of which was with the matchmakers.
Mokaev’s Rift with the UFC and Later Career
Mokaev had wins over several elites of the division, including Manel Kape, Charles Johnson, and Malcolm Gordon. He was very close to getting a title shot against then-champion Alexandre Pantoja.
However, Mokaev was revealed after his win over Manel Kape at UFC 304 in July 2024. The exit stemmed from a series of events outside the cage and conflicts with the matchmakers, which Mokaev himself acknowledged.
Interestingly, the 26-year-old did follow Dana White’s plan. He returned to Brave CF and secured back-to-back wins. He secured three finishes in his last four outings, two in the first round.
In November 2025, Mokaev beat Gerard Burns with a second-round head-kick knockout to capture the inaugural flyweight title at BRAVE CF 100. His win generated significant attention from the MMA community, including that of Hunter Campbell and Mick Maynard.
It is safe to say Muhammad Mokaev has thoroughly followed the map Dana White provided him after the UFC exit. Now, the next move is the UFC's.
