Jon Jones Feels Bad For Daniel Cormier’s Son After Seeing Emotional Edit

Similarly, in the UFC, the rivalry between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier is one such rivalry that often comes up on social media in the form of edits. Meanwhile, reacting to one such edit, Jones has now shared his comments, where DC gets emotional.

Jon Jones Reacts To Daniel Cormier’s Sad Edit

On Instagram, a video edit of DC is going viral, where the two-division champion is talking about the rematch. In the video, Cormier says it was the worst night of his life, as his son was in the hotel and didn’t watch his fight. The next morning, while DC was lying on the bed, his son asked if he won the fight. His wife told him no, after which Cormier started crying, as he never wanted his son to see him lose. Now reacting to this edit, Jones replied, “Poor thing, now I kind of feel bad.”

Talking about the rivalry, both fighters have fought twice. In their first fight, DC lost via decision at UFC 182. In the second fight at UFC 214, Jones landed a devastating head kick in Round 3, but the result was later overturned due to a failed drug test.

However, their rivalry hasn’t stopped, as they often trade shots at each other on social media, just like Jones did now. Notably, Cormier has even rejected the idea that he wants to mend fences with 'Bones.'

Daniel Cormier Still Doesn’t Want To Be Friends With Jon Jones

Earlier, Cormier has said that he has moved on from his old anger toward Jones. However, he still remembers how badly they treated each other and talked about each other’s families. Because of that, DC says he can be respectful and work with Jones, but he doesn’t want to become friends with him.

"I don’t harbor the emotion of the past that I did with him. I really don’t. But we spoke negatively about each other’s families; we had a nasty, nasty thing. He cheated, constantly. I don’t have to let him off the hook and be his friend. That would be me just going, ‘Everything you did is good.’ It’s not. It wasn’t good. So yeah, I can be cordial, I can work alongside you, I can do my thing, but I don’t have to be your friend. I’m a man. It is what it is. I’m not going to be friends with you," DC said.

Indeed, they have worked together before, including doing a show and DC interviewing Jones after a fight. However, despite being able to stay respectful and professional, both have made it clear that they probably won’t ever be friends.
