Lorenz Larkin vs Costas Philippou lands on UFC Fight Night 40 card
A middleweight match between Lorenz Larkin and Costas Philippou has landed on the UFC Fight Night 40 card in Cincinnati.
UFC officials announced the match-up on Sunday.
Larkin (14-2 1NC) is 1-2 in his UFC career and is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Brad Tavares at UFC Fight Night 35 in January. His lone Octagon win came over Chris Camozzi at UFC Fight for the Troops 3 in November.
Philippou (12-4 1NC) is riding a two-fight losing streak, with losses to Francis Carmont and most recently Luke Rockhold at UFC Fight Night 35 in January. The New York native was on a stellar five-fight winning streak before the back-to-back losses.
Expect the Larkin vs. Philippou bout to be on the nights main card.
UFC Fight Night will go down on May 10 from Cincinnati’s U.S. Bank Arena.
