The Brazilian featherweight has been forced out of the Sept. 5 event in Paris due to undisclosed health issues.

Mairon Santos is no longer expected to compete at UFC Paris. The Brazilian featherweight has withdrawn from his scheduled fight against Nathaniel Wood due to health issues, according to a report from Ag Fight. The specific nature of Santos' health problem was not disclosed. The UFC has yet to make an official announcement, and it remains unclear whether Wood will remain on the card.

Santos was scheduled to face Wood on Sept. 5 at the Accor Arena in Paris, France. With the Brazilian withdrawing from the bout, it remains to be seen whether the UFC will reschedule the fight for a later event or find a new opponent for the British fighter.

The withdrawal comes as Santos was looking to extend his unbeaten UFC record. The winner of The Ultimate Fighter 32 has won all four of his Octagon appearances and was coming off a third-round knockout victory over Muhammadjon Naimov.

Wood, meanwhile, has also been enjoying a strong run, as he is currently riding a four-fight winning streak. The British fighter defeated Losene Keita by split decision in March and was looking to make his second Octagon appearance this year.

For now, it remains unclear when Santos will be able to return to competition, while the UFC must decide whether to find a replacement opponent for Wood or reschedule the matchup for a later date.
