Patricio Pitbull vows to end losing streak at UFC 331
The former Bellator champion hopes a victory over Doo Ho Choi can put him back in the title picture.
Patricio Pitbull is determined to turn things around at UFC 331. The former Bellator two-division champion has been struggling lately, having lost two of his three UFC bouts since joining the promotion. About to face Doo Ho Choi on Saturday in Los Angeles, the Brazilian is confident he has done everything necessary to return to the win column.
Patricio Pitbull Says "Enough Is Enough"
Pitbull is arguably one of the most successful MMA fighters outside the UFC. The Brazilian spent over a decade competing at Bellator, where he set multiple records, was a two-division champion and even held both titles simultaneously. However, since joining the UFC in 2025, Pitbull hasn't been able to enjoy the same success. In three promotional appearances so far, the Brazilian has suffered two unanimous decision losses to Yair Rodriguez and Aaron Pico.
Pitbull understands why some fans have noticed a difference between his performances in Bellator and his recent UFC appearances. Nonetheless, the Brazilian also believes the change is natural after moving to a new promotion and facing a different group of opponents. In the end, Pitbull feels ready to put an end to his recent struggles after doing everything necessary to return to the win column on Saturday.
"It's normal," Pitbull told Ag Fight. "We spent more than a decade in Bellator, knocking out countless opponents, submitting many others and breaking numerous records. For those who followed that period and are comparing it to now, it's normal to feel a bit of a difference. But that's part of it. I'm in a different organization, there are different fighters. For me, enough is enough. I've done everything necessary to get this win back, and I believe we'll leave this day with a victory."
Patricio Pitbull Wants to Return to Title Discussions
Focused entirely on his fight with Choi, Pitbull believes he has a good opportunity in front of him. The Brazilian is currently the No. 15 featherweight and hopes a win against the South Korean could put him back in the spotlight and eventually even in the title conversation. However, Pitbull also understands that a title shot will not come immediately and that his performance against Choi will determine what comes next.
"I intend to have a good fight," Pitbull said. "He's a relevant opponent who will put me back in the spotlight and in the title discussions. Obviously, nothing now. I'm talking about after the fight, depending on my performance and how my fight goes. But I'm confident."
At 39 years old, Pitbull has been competing for over two decades, holding a 37-9 professional record. On Saturday, the longtime veteran will look to get back to winning ways and take a step toward the top of the UFC featherweight division.
