This past Friday night the UFC had its Hometown Throwdown in Florida for UFC on FX 3. Most of the preliminary card went to the judges scorecards, while the main card had some fantastic stoppages. In the main event we saw the only fight on the main card go the distance, as Demetrious Johnson took a unanimous decision victory over Ian McCall to move on to fight Joseph Benavidez in the flyweight finals. The co-main event had Erick Silva pummel Charlie Brenneman and eventually take the rear naked choke submission in round 1. Mike Pyle also finished his fight in the first round, with a KO victory over Josh Neer.
