UFC Mexico is almost here. Ahead of tomorrow night’s card, the fighters booked to appear on the show had to face off with one crucial opponent: The scale at this morning’s official weigh-in window.

Tomorrow night’s schedule contains a 13-fight slate. Luckily, none of the fights on the card were adversely affected by mishaps at today’s weigh-in session.

UFC Mexico Main, Co-Main Events Officially a Go After Weigh-Ins

In Saturday’s main event of the evening, the flyweights do battle when No. 6 contender Brandon Moreno (125 1/2 lbs) fights short-notice replacement Lone’er Kavanagh (125 lbs.) Both came in within the 126-lb nontitle maximum at the weigh-ins Friday.

Ahead of UFC Mexico, Kavanagh was to due have fought Bruno Silva two weeks from tomorrow in Enterprise, NV at the Meta Apex before Moreno’s original opponent, Asu Almabayev, was forced out of the show due to an injury. This main event is an advertised maximum of five rounds at five minutes per round to close out the show.

The co-main event of UFC Mexico happens at bantamweight when No. 9 contender Marlon Vera (136 lbs) meets No. 10 contender David Martinez (135 lbs.) It’ll be a three-round fight at five minutes per round.

One of the key storylines throughout UFC Mexico fight week was the question of whether or not No. 8 contender Macy Chiasson would make weight for her contest against No. 7 contender Allin Perez on Saturday night. Prior to the event, Perez promised that she’d refuse to fight if Chiasson exceeded weight for the bout.

Chiasson missed weight by 1 1/2 lbs before her October contest versus Yana Santos, but hit her marks without issue on this day, coming in at 135 lbs exactly. Allin Perez clocked in at the nontitle maximum of 136 lbs.
